Legal Help for Hurricane Ike Recovery

It's times like these when I am proud to be a lawyer. Houston lawyers are reaching out to help in the recovery efforts after the onslaught of Hurricane Ike. So many of our neighbors, friends and relatives in Houston and the surrounding cities need legal assistance. If you can help, please do so.

The Houston Bar Association has scheduled a training program for volunteer attorneys who would like to help answer legal questions, including FEMA-related questions, for those affected by Hurricane Ike. The training is set for Monday, September 22, 2008, from 1:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Baker Botts law firm. The firm is located on the 32nd floor of One Shell Plaza, 910 Louisiana, Houston, TX 77002. The training has been approved for 3.5 hours of MCLE credit and there is no cost to attend. Please RSVP to mariar@hba.org.

Hope to see you there!
